Okay...

I was just browsing through Flickr and found an incredible collection of period racing photos, from Britain and Europe, 1910's to 1920's, it appears to be hundreds of photos, I haven't even scratched the surface yet but it appears to be an impressive collection.

One sample (dated 1929):

You can find all the photos at this link here... https://www.flickr.com/photos/autosportscrew/ It could prove to be a great to waste away many hours /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Reminds me a lot of the Vanderbilt cup race that used to be held across parts of Long Island by William K. Vanderbilt. It's still hard to believe that they raced around here back then.

Even when I go to the web site I just get this:

Dunno...

The website where the photos are posted should be publicly viewable, I did tap into the "all sizes" button to get that image for here, but that should effect anything.

No problem for posting a link that will take us all away from real life for awhile or longer... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

I'm quite curious about the source of the photos, especially given the sheer volume of photos. I'm almost wondering if they were scanned from a book, no matter I suppose.
