Nial, Sports car racing in Oklahoma and Texas is strong. Hallett raceway is in Jennings Ok. No relations, I don't think. :rolleyes2:. When finished, my car and I have been invited out there this Summer. Not sure if I want to drive it that far until I get some time on the road in it. Maybe. :eagerness: PJ

Would love to got out there. But I have 8 race tracks (several with multiple circuits) within 5 hours of driving.

A round-trip to Hallet for me is almost 3000 miles. :uncomfortableness:

Currently we spend about 43 days on the road for racing (that's 8 events total). I could easily double that just staying "local" if I had the time.

I'd love to spend more time racing, but I'm still working (for another few years anyway)......plus we watch 4 grandkids twice a week. And we have them (and their parents) for several weeks during the Summer.

So it's that old "time" thing.

But a guy I have met (Don Racine or Minimania), did a "race tour" last summer racing all over the USA. It sounded intriguing and it might be something we could do when the day-job comes to an end. Never say never!
