Made it to the vintage race at the Glen last weekend, didn't manage to run into any members, did anyone go? what a beautiful weekend! the weather was great, good racing, nice cars had a great time! not to mention my 76B ran like a top back and forth both sat and sun got lots of looks what a joy it was to drive!!

My son and I were there. Got there Friday for the downtown activities. We left Sunday afternoon. We didn't get to see the Collier Cup Race though. With the delays at the track, we had to leave.

Your right, nice weather, great time.

Is "The Bog" still active?

No, they filled that in some years ago. A neat little photo web site,,,, "glenphotos.com" has some pictures from the bog days.

gawd... makes me feel OLD...

Porch-ee's and tour busses in flames are my memories...

LOL, check out the web site. Between the b&w pictures and the long hippy hair,,,,

That site has quite a few pictures from more current times.

Missed the last ('77?) F-1 there due to a blue-hair driving a Buick into the LF corner of our beloved '69 Alfa GTV ~a block from our house(!)~ as we were departing Sewickley PA for the Glen...

Baaad Karma, man.

Yup-yup... I've had three GTV's (talkin' Bertone bodied here) and wish I'd kept the '69 1750cc. Now they're so dear I can't ever expect to have another, so I'm pedalin' a '78 Spider around as my daily driver.

Sewickley is 10 minutes north of Pittsburgh. Beautiful little town. Miss it a lot at times, but winters chased us away. Tired of losing nice cars to salted highways.

I took the family up to the festival. Dad was in the Knapp vinyard run with his 69 MGB (he had a great time).
My brother made a brief appearance downtown in his newly aquired 71 TR6.
We all had a great time. perfect weather, tons of cars and people. I felt like I was back in time living a chapter of "The Last Open Road". Racing in the streets, live music on every corner, and classic cars of every description parked on every street like they were the only kind of cars ever made so that's just what everybody drove.
It's the only public place I know where you can go and MGs outnumber Chevy's.
Then there was the track..... we made it up for saturday. Awsome turnout. I believe the count was around 550 cars registered to race. and there was a ton of street cars up there too.
Sorry we missed everyone. I'll be posting pics this weekend.
