Vintage on the Prairies race meet - pictures poste

It's a pretty basic all-purpose track here, one side of the stands (we're not concerned with) is a small oval track, the other side of the stands is the quarter mile drag strip/road course, the drag strip doubles as the one of the main stretches with the road course coming off each end, it's nothing terribly fancy.

I was only able to attend on Sunday and only caught two actual races this year - they're squeezed between other races - as well as spending time hanging out in the pit area taking some pictures and talking to people

Here's the website for Race City Speedway:

This much smaller vintage race event pales in comparison to the great weekends spent at Mosport Raceway back when I lived in Ontario... Oh well... But also just came back from an intoxicating drive through the mountains /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif (Jasper and Banff)
