VIN on a mis-identified Sprite

Hi guys -- I've found a nice, solid Sprite for sale. Owner claims it's a Mk IV. It has the Mk IV 1275cc engine and looks like a Mk IV, but the owner also thinks it's from 1961, which couldn't be right. The VIN is HAN64724. Can anyone decode that for me?

Thanks -- appreciate the help,

Dan

Thanks! This will be my first classic car - I figured one couldn't do better than a Sprite in terms of fun per dollars spent.

Probably right!! It would be better if you could get it a tad cheaper but it does look like a very nice car.

RB Midget would be a better deal if you don't mind the park benches.
