VIN on a mis-identified Sprite

Hi guys -- I've found a nice, solid Sprite for sale. Owner claims it's a Mk IV. It has the Mk IV 1275cc engine and looks like a Mk IV, but the owner also thinks it's from 1961, which couldn't be right. The VIN is HAN64724. Can anyone decode that for me?

I did a search on the vin, I'm guessing this is the car ?

By the looks of the car, it's definitely a Mk II. Many earlier sprites have had their original motors replaced with the larger 1275cc engine. The seller is just incorrectly calling the car a Mk IV.

Probably right!! It would be better if you could get it a tad cheaper but it does look like a very nice car.
