Too comfortable and not rorty enough to be a SpitFire.

Was that supposed to be rotty? :jester:

lol, at this point I think they're all a little rotty.

Take the body off and put this body on

With the abundance of older "NA" Miatas around, I'd think there would be even more rebody kits floating around. There was a simple faux-Ferrari going around for awhile that wasn't bad and wasn't a hard conversion. Not my thing, but...someone else's I'm sure.

I too am surprised there are not more kits for the Miata around.

When you think about it, it's not surprising they don't have any more.

It's too good of a car to begin with. Why take a perfectly good car and add problems to it. I've yet to see a kit that didn't have any issues.

There should be a kit that make lesser cars into Miatas.

"Like a Cadillac Deville..."

Hey now, I own a Caddy and it is a fine automobile.

I have a 2003 Mazda Miata Shinsen Version I bought new. It has 91,000 miles now and I love it. It's bulletproof, no ABS, 5 speed. Mine has the LSD rear end. Mine is bone stock and it's great!!!

Putting a Miata body on it would be "interesting". Panel gaps might be a little bigger.

There is an "Italia" kit by Simpson that is really nice looking. There's some pics here of this kit being offered by RetroForza.

The only reason I am not going stock is I figure if I am going to have to replace the worn out suspension I might as well upgrade it a little. Same with the exhaust.

This actually looks really nice

The only complant I have about 'em is the tinny sound of a closing hood and/or door. Other than that maybe not enough room b/w wheel and arm rest. I drive w/ my left leg drawn up the the seat and my knee gets caught there. No problem w/ the midget.

Not much of a complaint, but probably the result of trying to save weight. Especially the hood, it's aluminum.

NA '90-'97 = 2100 lbs
NB '99-'05 = 2300 lbs
NC '05-'12 = 2400 lbs

Low weight is part of Mazda's philosophy of building cars, which get's harder all the time as new regulations keep popping up. Although the latest Miata has plumped up to 2400 lbs, it's still one of the lightest cars made.

Mine does cool things like, take me to work every day for the last 8 years.

another option. saw this in a magazine tonite...
