I need to play a 30-54 second video clip w/ no sound played in a loop for an art project. The player, recorder or whatever needs to be very small and very cheap if possible (about the size of a smart phone and no, I can't use my phone for this). The signal will be feed into a flat sceen TV or really big monitor. If I could by a TV that would do this that's o.k too. This thing needs to run about 6 hours a day for a month. What are my options?
 
I don't have the TV yet so if I can buy something else to do the same thing that's o.k too. I'd like for it to be pretty big, about the size of a window.
 
Can I connect my wifi laptop to a wifi capable TV without a wifi modem hooked to the internet?
 
You don't need a WiFi modem connected to the internet, but you do need some sort of wireless modem to connect via WiFi.

An inexpensive alternative is to get a cheap 5 port hub - usually about 20.00 - and connect the laptop to the hub and the TV to the hub as well, if it has an Ethernet port.

If your project can be displayed in a browser, then one of the new Chrome sticks from Google (35.00) will allow you to connect your laptop to your TV.

The easiest thing to do ( if allowed) is to burn your project to a CD/DVD, get a cheap CD\DVD player and connect that to a TV. You can set the project to loop when you burn it, so it will loop forever.
 
I don't need the net, I just need to wifi from the pc to the tv. I think they have TV's with built in DVD players. I should be able to burn it. It's a short video that's on my phone right now.
 
Many new TVs have memory card slots for pictures and video. I'm not sure about looping a video with it. Sounds like a question for those kids that work at Best Buys.

I assume that you mean looped video and streaming audio. Many new TVs are pretty complicated with many different audio and video combinations. Its hard to say without looking into all of the menus on these tvs. Add that to the best buy kids question list.
 
No, looped video AND live streaming a/v. I need the two to be transparent so you can see one through the other. A friend said something about video mixing software.
