The funniest ebay auto ad I've ever seen:

110246292073

Must have used every cliche' in the book. Love the part about being damaged in a chase on the LA freeways, but "OJ wasn't injured".

NO...but he could put it in a USPS mailer and send it...why would someone spend the money to post a melted model car on an ebay ad...guess I must not see the humorous side of this one!!! My fav stiil ranks on the outhouse on ebay!!

alana...yea got it...reading it right after home from work was bad timing on my part...it is pretty funny reading through it again...

Apparently the poster is well known in the Healy forum. Many of the guys there buy real parts from him. It IS an excellent spoof....

Tom, I really like your post and candor but PLEASE PLEASE, can you add the link instead of the item #.
With much respect

How did you do that Nutmeg? I tried it, it didn't work and I deleted the post!!! :confuse:

Maybe use the link button inna post window, then give it a short name like THIS

I sent the Ebayer an email telling him how much I enjoyed the listing, I got a response, I've asked for permission to share it, if he consents, I'll edit this post...:

Response:

Hey it has been a long winter we are all allowed to be a little silly. Have fun...keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down. Leo

and response to request to share here at BCF:

Hi Dave!! I have no problem with sharing! I try to get my lady friend to let me share myself. She don't buy it. It's was only meant as a big HOOT! Out of the over fifty emails I have received at least no one has taken it as anything but that. I keep modifying the description to incorporate some of their numerous suggestions. I have had that car sitting on my shelf so long I would miss it if anyone actually bid on it. If anyone did have a problem with it I would have to tell them that they needed to go out put the top down and do some gratuitous fossil fuel burning. It is perfect weather here right now maybe I will take the car out tonight for a drive in the passenger seat of my Healey. Barbie """REALLY""" likes to ride in my car. Have a great weekend. Leo

His response to my question was:

"Like I said in the description the mechanic never got the car started. BUT...I feel with some minor fiddling you could probably drive it to Alabama. Leo"

Funny! He's on a roll. Maybe a few of us could pool our resources and go into this project together?

Leo needs to join our BCF "family".
