Very English!

It looks very complete, though - even still has the Flying Lady. Upholstery looks good but it'll never come close to the original.

This looks like a car someone brave could put $10,000 and some work into and have a fun driver. Or someone stupid could restore it for $150,000+ and have a $40000 car.

Any Rolls or Bentley of that era that needs brake work is nightmarish. $2-3K to begin a proper brake job on those tarbabies. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Can you say "Accumulators"?? And that poxy "spool" outta the side of the tranny is a nightmare. Mechanical brake linkage all thru the thing... BAH!

It's a TRAP!!!

RUN!!! Run FAR!!! RUN FAST!!!

It always makes me sad to see a classic British car rusting quietly in a field or between tall bushes, but letting this once proud dreadnought decompose next to an old shed in the woods is like seeing Prince Charles curled up under newspaper in the Bowery, all dressed in rags and waiting for the soup kitchen to open.

If that car cannot be restored or rehabilitated it should probably be euthanized.

I'm not saying the same thing would be the case for Prince Charles.

Regards,

Mostly in agreement. It should become a Donor. Trying to resuscitate it would be folly.
