Very Cool Discovery

I was taking apart my passenger door last night and found the reamins of the original window sticker in the bottom of the door. It is almost all destroyed but was able to find out one or two things I didn't know.

Sadly the original price had disintigrated.

That's cool. I found a vintage Snap-on 1/4" ratchet in my old sprites door pocket. Car's long gone, still have the ratchet.

I found a vintage feeler guage tucked down on the frame by the starter. Someone 30 years ago was probably using it on the distributor and dropped it down there.

The fender spaces up front provide a lot of space for stuff to fall into, I found an old screwdriver from a Massachusetts True value hardware store the print on it even had the phone number, didn't call it though, on a right hand drive car me and my dad pulled out of the woods somewhere, we found an isle of man sticker under some crappy fake wood vinyl on the original interior.

Well, I found an, err, umm, old "roach" (i.e., marijuana cig butt) in the bottom of my GT6 door when I fixed the seals.

Didn't inhale it or smoke it, though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Cool stuff.. The only find I ever did was a bunch of ferry tickets tucked away in the door upholstery.. And they weren't even foreign..

So far all I've found in my is a bunch of dirt and rust. Oh unless you count the dime my daughter found under the seat last Saturday while she was helping me time it and check the compression...lol

I couldn't resist this post. I found an unobtainable part for the shifter inside the transmission shifter tailpiece. I used a plastic plumbing part as a substitute. Kept the good part in a box. Too valuable to use on the car. Hope to make a duplicate someday and use the dup as a real part on the car.
