Here is a photo of my leaf springs taken in 1988 as I was re-assembling my 1958 TR3A. You can see the 2 extra pieces bolted onto the top of the spring for the passenger's side.
BTW Gordon, take a look at the photo of my rear axle above. Right now, after 103,000 miles on my car since 1990, everything still looks just like that underneath. If you do it right the first time it will stay like that a long time. Everything under mine was done with Dupont Imron aircraft and tractor-trailer paint.
