To Whom it might concern:
I noticed the whats your favorite war movie post has been closed, I myself posted there just today.
If it a comment that I made in this post was the cause of it`s retraction I am deeply sorry to have caused its cancelation.
Please accept my apologys.

A whole post deleted for one comment? I hope not! Better to edit the one post than censor an entire conversation between a dozen people. I suspect it was something else. It was just a discussion about movies after all!

The whole thing was getting a little political and Basil, in his infinite wisdom did the right thing (again!), The thread had run its course, and is it not inevitable in any discussion involving war, that politics will/must eventually creep in!

I only recall LBCs in very few of those movies discussed anyway!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Sorry it came to that, I thought it was great to see what others lied, Brought back thoughts of movies. I even saw another god one last night.
Basil, Thanks for keeping things under control, I know I have had a thread del. in the past, Due to my own ignorance.
Thanks again for running a tight ship!

Hmmm? Well, I could tell it had the potential to get political but tried to tiptoe around that and gave what I thought was a measured response as to why I felt the way I did about a movie. But perhaps it wasn’t measured enough because when I returned the thread was removed.

If it was my fault – I'm sorry.

I think we all saw it leaning that way...& each of us probably added a tad to the 'lean' (I'm sure I did!)...kinda hard not to when we all have different backgrounds & experiences that factor into our opinions.

Heck, if we started a thread about our favorite car movies, it would get political quicker than I could mention "Gone in 60 Seconds" - both versions! (Still, "Bullitt" is the best labor stimulator ever devised!)
