VB Seat foam

Hello all,
Just finished refurbing my drivers seat on my 78 B using the Vicky Brit interior kit. Stripped off the old covers and foam, rust profed and painted the frame. Looking at the old seat back foam I noticed the foam was etched(pushed or worn) into the frame about an inch all around the frame and headrest support. The new foam does not have this indention so it sits ****her foward instead of hugging around the frame. After fitting the seat back and glueing the foam to the frame, when I fit the seat covers they fit well with no wrinkles and look good but the hole in the top of the seat cover for the headrest does not line up with the headrest support. If I install the headrest then it pulls the cover out of line towards the back of the seat, this makes the cover stretch and wrinkle around the headrest pole. All the seams line up with the edges of the foam and I have tried to pull or adjust the cover toward the back of the seat to allieviate this problem with no luck. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it, or should I leave it alone and let the foam sink or form itself to the frame from use? Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Are you sure you got the correct foam?
