For those having a Menard's store in the area, the everyday price for Valvoline VR1 20W-50 or straight 50 is $4.99 per quart. They usually have an 11 percent off rebate running which drops the price down to $4.44 per quart after the rebate. Have to order in cases of 6 quarts per case and they will ship to a store for pickup with no cost for shipping.

Not trying to start an oil war here but this was about the best price in my neck of the pastures (Wisconsin).
 
Nothing here in the Northeast. Good price but Midwest only it would appear.

Just checked my local Menards (little over an hour roundtrip),and like your area $4.99 a qt. Checkout Walmart though $7.16 for 1qt. 2pack $8.76 and a 4pack $28.72. Lets see i think i will take the 2pack at $4.38 a quart but only after i would verify with my local store. I also think that something on the website may change in short order.

It always amazes me when stores will do something like that. I am also surprised that stores will sometimes put national brand items on sale for less than their own house brand.

No Menard's around here. At times like this I wish there were.
