Val Kilmer aka "Ice Man" RIP

He had a long bout with throat cancer plus other complications. Rest in peace Ice Man!

Yes he was unfortunately a long time smoker! I'm so glad I was able to finally quit that nasty habit 35 years ago.

My dad was a pipe smoker for as long as I can remember and I followed suit for quite a while also. But eventually I quit and never picked it up again. I did have quite a collection of pipes, some were pretty expensive, but one day after coming home from work, I found out that my wife threw them all in the trash! Said she got tired of those smelly things in the house and refused to tell me where she got rid of them! :rolleyes2:

At the risk of you all knowing how juvenile I am, Top Secret is one of my favourite movies of all time. One of the most irreverent, historically inaccurate movies that is beyond hilarious and I think was VK’s breakout role. Of course he was great in many other roles but Nick Rivers is an enduring character for me (for some reason!).
I typically don’t get too worked up about celebrities passing but he was one of those talents who was a bit different than the rest. A sad day for me when I learned the news because of his health struggles. The documentary produced by his daughter (IIRC) was moving. He seemed like a nice man and it is worth watching. RIP VK.

I've heard of that movie, but haven't seen it. Probably will try to find it on one of my streaming subscriptions.

Real Genius is another under-rated yet highly enjoyable movie he was in. His character was Chris Knight.

Two movies added to my list of goofy-be-silly movies.

(Just watched Encino Man, and thinking about Canadian Bacon. Yes, I am an intellectual!!)
