I think lapping involves two pieces of material, such as a valve and a seat.

If you want to do it faster, you can add a third ingredient. Abrasive paste.:friendly_wink:

I see you live in the Netherlands. I would advise you to get your parts from AH Spares in the UK rather than Moss, who are not Healey specialists.

True enough, but in fairness to Moss they do have Healey-knowledgeable people on staff. Michael Grant, their Technical Advisor, is a Healey owner, and they have some very informative tech articles (e.g. https://www.mossmotors.com/graphics/products/PDF/021-511.pdf ). They do source parts from AH Spares, I'm told, and it makes sense to order from a close(er) source.
