Didn't want to hijack the other thread more than I had already, But for reference this is one of my two project sprites. as you see it is a mess. last owner just ran wires hoses etc.. anywhere they could. I plan on reengineering complete car.I will be loading photos and editing them in. takes a long time
this is view from the top

this is drivers side view, it is a real mess, you can tell it is an older 302 conversion by generator, I will probably switch it over to a 5.0 roller block running surpent belt system

this is passenger side

This is the last photo, look how wide tunnel is.and yes it does have an AT, a C-4 I was told, but I was also told it had a Ford 9' rear in it but it has a 57 olds, this tells me this is a really old conversion that say a dragstrip or two. If any one wants a different view I have taken a zillion photos.Notice how far back motor sits

My other projest is a 1958 also, but it is pretty much stock except it has alater model 1275. that one is gonna be my wifes..A kinda "His & Hers" thing. may even paint them the same color depending on what she picks out

Oh, me O my O. That looks like so much fun.

Guy locally had a 289 transplant into a Spridget. Said at speed, scariest ride of his life. Sold it after owning for 2 weeks as he told me he didn't want to kill himself at the wheel of the beast.

I saw a BE at a race at Daytona in the late 60's with a 289 in it. Had a bundle of snakes exhaust a la GT 40. Pipes passed through the fire wall, over the gearbox, through the 'trunk', and out. Pipes were inside the gearbox cover.
Looked good, sounded great, but that bad boy would swap ends at the drop of a hat and loan you the hat.
Wonder what ever happened to it.

Sounds similar to a Sunbeam Tiger....
