USPS Money Order - Should I Accept?

I have a trailer hitch that I've been trying to sell for some time.
It's "New,in box".I've had the same person,who lives in another state
not too far away wanting to buy it.He's offering to pay me with a USPS
money order,& even listed his phone number in an earlier email,in response
to the craigslist ad.This is the only person who's been interested in it Is there a way to make sure that the money order is legit?

Doug - you can't check if a money order is legit, until the money order has been issued by the sender's USPS post office.

Once you have the MO, and know the number printed on the MO, go to:

And of course, never send your item, until the MO has been verified and cleared.
