I decided to register for an upcoming "extended learning" course offered by my local university.

What a hoot - look what you have to go through to register online: 27 steps!

Not exactly user friendly in my book. Think I'll use the mail. Good grief.

The instructions are far, far, far too detailed. I looked at their website and the registration page doesn't look much different than many of the online order forms I use.

If a TV maker made their instruction book like that you'd never turn the set on.

1) Find the remote
2) Search the remote's button pad for the power switch
3) With index finger of right hand carefully point to the power switch
4) Carefully depress button with finger until positive contact is established
5) Release pressure on button, set should be on
6) In the event step #5 was unsuccessful turn remote over and release catch on battery cover
7) Inspect power cells (2) for correct alignment
8) Reinstalled cover
9) Insure catch is positively closed on cover
10) Return to step #2

Or, we can just say "turn the power on with the remote" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

You should get extra credit for just doing the registration /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

"User friendly"; "Intuitive controls".

BAH! No such thing these days.

Talk about truth-in-advertising!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif No way Tom! Took one look and backed outta there quick!

Been there, still there, - LOL - They don't explain anything when they send the tuition bill though.
