There are six words in the English language with the letter combination "uu." Muumuu, vacuum, continuum, duumvirate and duumvir, residuum.
 
You forgot uumm, as in "uumm, er, ahhh, I'd like to use a life line Regis!
 
I posted this this afternoon but was lost in space.

I don't think Muumuu is an English word
 
A muumuu is a Hawaiian dress?

Or is it what an Appalachian cow says?
 
muumuu became an English word after the missionaries settled in Hawaii and got the barebosomed natives to wear dresses, muumuu's. It became part of the language, along with Aloha....
 
A lot of words became american but didn't start out English.

Rest my Muumuu.
 
Like I said, it became an English usage word. Of course it didn't start out English. A Lot of words have been incorporated into our language that came from other languages. That's the wonder of lexicography that keeps the wordsmiths happy.

Ah, but what about usage. Most anyone who is over the age of 12 knows what Aloha is(besides the defunct airline) and most women know what Muumuu means. But how many know the meaning of the word you included?
