USELESS PASSENGER SIDE BULLIT MIRROR FIX

Re: Mirror Source - as promised

Alan,
I cut a piece of 1/8" thick rubber sheating to precisely fit beneath the black plastic base that came with the mirror. Just a little more padding for my precious paint. Trimmed it with a razor to where they look like they were made for each other. Works well.
You will notice when you get back to your car that the mounting holes are different than those for the bullet mirrors. The new holes are spaced a little farther apart. But since the base for the new mirror is larger than those of the bullet type, any marring on the paint will be covered. I just made sure that the extra hole in my door, now covered over with the new base, had plenty of paint in it.
