USB and keyboard question

Finally got my large print, back lit Azio keyboard.
Works good, except:
When I shut down the computer at night, the keyboard stays lit.
I find that odd, as the box is off....yet the USB port apparently is providing power still.
Last one has a small round DIN type plug, so it went to a different port.
I have to shut the keyboard off manually.

Some trick I don't know about to kill USB's when shut down?
XP Pro, SP3.

Absolutely. I also drive vintage automobiles, with points and carburettors, have a dial phone or two, and vacuum tube radios.
Why?

I'd get rid of the radium embellished dials and switches, tho.

"vacuum tube radios"

Fancy new technology, I spin my records on a Victrola.

I even have pre-octal based radios.
Last one I rebuilt was for a 1941 Lincoln.
THAT was fun.

I have a box of toggle switches out of a B-29, with the glowing radium dot on the end of the toggle.
heXX, I've got more roentgens in me from the S5W than radium dials will ever give me.

I think there is a jumper on the mother board that determines if USB voltage stays hot. Otherwise if you have your computer plugged into a power stip, you could kill power to the box, which should also kill the USB power.

Some do have the jumper, found that out. Also, if I get time on boot, the BIOS has a "power USB" setting. Or so I am told.
