I feel sorry for all them folks from Missisippi!

"Mississippi is the first state ever whose obese population exceeds 30% over a three-year average. And two-thirds of its citizens were either overweight or obese by CDC standards in 2006."

Missisippi once again fattest state, Colorado still leanest

While I'd like to claim Colorado as my home state I haven't lived their in over a decade now. So that means I'll have to stick with the Kalifornia that didn't get any worst but neither did we get any better staying the same.

So where does your state fall in the list? Better? Worst?

Tennessee, like the rest of the South, is right up there!

Alabama #3 with 29.4%.....gotta love all that fried food!

But, DC has the fattest children with 22.8% of them obese - that's worse!

36th here 22.9% not bad, I expected worse.

DC - Must be all the fat politicians with nannies taking care of their kids.

NY - #37

48th! Vermont is thin and trim.

Puerto Rico is unaccounted for on the gordo list
but from experience I'll say that the gordo factor
increases dramatically when one goes from the slim
and trim beach babes at ocean view and travels inland
to the land of fried food carbohydrate people.

49th, I must have been out of state the day they counted.

VA is smack dab in the middle.

It must be the sausage gravy and cathead biscuits we eat every morning? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

Would you ever put a Hotdog on a Cathead biscuit and what's a Cathead biscuit?

a biscuit about the size of a cat head? *shrug* /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

PA is slowly getting leaner since the shut down of many Pennsylvania Dutch Restaurants...
I guess I will have to go the Allentown Fair tonight for Pierogies with butter sauteed onions, a Sausage Sandwich, and some deep fried Twinkies and Oreos to help work us back up in the rankings for next year.
But there are few places around to find filled pig's stomach and/orfried scrapple anymore. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

By the way Mailbox, I drove right through Tupelo a few weeks ago when I drove the wife's new Hyundai Santa Fe home from Huntsville (Were I bought it because it was $2000 less than the same car in Albuquerque). I stopped to visit Elvis' boyhood home.

You didn't visit the Tupelo Car Museum, Basil? Its right up the street & is probably one of the best museums around!
