If I knew the money would go to the crews, I'd gladly pay double the ticket price for any flight on USA carriers. True professionals.

Not to put a damper on the whole USAir event in the Hudson, but it's well worth everyone's while to read up on the Taca-110 737 twin engine-failure landing on top of a levy in New Orleans. Both engines failed due to heavy rain and hail. They also were going to land in the water but saw the levy and decided to try it. Interestingly the engines were changed and the airplane was later flown off the levy to New Orleans.

Listen closely - it sounds like they call the flight 1549 and 1529 at different times during the communications.....?

Yes, I heard that too, and there was a bit of confusion at ground control! At least the pilot definitely knew who he was and what to do!!!
