Don't own one but we're still deciding on what to have for dinner. Thanks for bringing this up - I'm hungry!

Well, darn, I was planning on eating my old cell phone - I mean, how else does one dispose of it?

on a serious note....many of the local women's shelters accept donations of old cell phones that are activated with 911 service for women who cannot afford one and are trying to escape from abusive relationships. Ask in your area if this program is available. T:smile:

Isn't there some condition that causes people to want to eat things they obviously shouldn't? Back in the early 70's I remember ongoing local news coverage of a guy who had been eating a 1957 Chevy. If it was even true, I presume he was filing and grinding pieces and, well, eating the stuff.

Didn't Klinger eat a jeep on M.A.S.H.?

No, just a couple of nuts, a wiper blade, and the horn button. Enough to make him sick, which is when they used him as an excuse to get the visiting Admiral from the USS Essex to see something "important", because Hawkeye's friend the doctor on the Essex flew in (with Admiral in tow) to help Hawk with an "emergency".

The "emergency" was a five letter Yiddish word for "bedbug", needed to finish the Times crossword puzzle.

The answer is "vantz". There is a reason I failed high school algebra.

I think so, but don't know what its called. I've heard of people ingesting large quantities of coins, for example.

The older cell phones are ok, Tony - eat to your hearts content! Low calarie too! It's just the new iPod and iPhone that will kill you!

My company has a program where we can turn in our old cell phones and they go to needy folks as you describe. Great program.

Maybe dipped in chocolate, or in a fondue?

Well eating the iPhone wasn't really a problem....but let's just say that those rounded corners don't feel so rounded when it all comes out in the end.
