Urgent help...emergency flasher wiring

Ok I goofed.

I pulled the wires off the emergency flasher without noting where they go. I rewired the back end today and all is good or was except the flashers. They never worked which is why I rewired.

I have 5 wires and 6 spades on the switch.
I have 2 solid green, a light green brwn, a green red and a green white. which spades do they go on.

One green wires runs from the flasher unit to the switch.the other green is on the opposite terminal.
As you look at the switch the green wires are at the lamp end of the switch. The LGN wire goes in the middle r/h terminal. The green/white wire is on the r/h and the green/red on the l/h.

If you have a wiring diagram it will make this clearer.

my switch is like this (and I had it working 30 minutes ago before i pulled the wires off)

1. 2.

3. 4.

empty empty

7. 8.

Is that the lighting switch Woodie?
The hazard switch I was describing only has six terminals.

If it's the hazard sw,I assume you mean there are. no pins at 5 & 6

nope thats the emergency switch . The numbers are to the spades.
The two "empty " places do not have spades.

Like I said I had the turn signals working for over a yr, and today rewired the back end, and stupidly pulled the wires off, and now cannot get them to work. and its getting dark.

Sorry Woodie,I'm putting you wrong here.Your car is a 1970 mk111,right?
I think this is what you want.
1,gr/red,2 green
3gr/w,4 empty.
7 lgn, 8,green.

Just come to Boston,we don't used directionals here. It's a sign of weakness. Sorry, that didn't help did it.

I forget your VIN but try this

1 - Green
2 - Green
3 - Green - White
4 - None
5 - Light Green Brown
6 - Green - Red

I got signals but no flasher ok for tonight

8 gr
7 gr
6 none
5 none
4 none
3 lightgr brwn
2 gr
1 gw

I'll try the other 2 tomorrow or the next day. I think I need a new emergency flasher relay. Its in behind the stereo and its dark. At least I can drive tonight.

THANKS for your quick help it is appreciated
