TR2/3/3A Upper Fulcrum Orientation On TR3A with Late TR4 Upper Control Arms

I have decided to install late TR4 upper control arms on my 58 Tr3A to replace the cracked 3A originals. I have obtained the 3 degree castor lower trunnions and the late TR4 upper ball joint. I understand at some point the upper fulcrum orientation was changed. I am wondering if the correct orientation of the upper fulcrum is as it was installed on the 3A or flipped around so it curves toward the shock bolt.

Team.net post said Randall might be in the hospital. No more info other than that.

Thank you PeterK. I hope Randall will return to us soon and in good health. His selfless assistance on this and other sites is certainly appreciated. Get well soon Randall!!!

Hi Steve, My front suspension has the TR4 suspension with the 3 degree caster and my upper fulcrum pins have the bows towards each other. Just like it would be normally. The bow goes around the hole in the center of the spring tower. I believe if you turn it around it covers part of the hole. It does not cover the hole. I thought I had a picture but I don't and the front clip is on the frame so I could not get a good picture. Frank

PS according to Roger Williams restoring TR2, TR3, and TR3A The curve faces the center line.

I hope this illustration, looking down, of the TR4 upper arm assembly will help.
