Well, yeah. I think I got what I paid for, but perhaps you'll want to be the judge. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif Triumph Herald...a sign of the times?

Re: Update on US Triumph dealer

Well, here he is selling yet another TR3. Original interior, is it? Well when the previous seller listed it on eBay on 2nd December it had new seat covers and was missing the trim along the top of the doors. It also had a very poor glove box cover. It only sold for $8,000, so atlanticblue is making a pretty good profit out of this one.

Re: Update on US Triumph dealer

I have bought and sold numerous vehicles on ebay.

2000 Ford van bought
1999 Dodge conversion van bought

72 TR6 bought and my current car.
77 TR7 bought and sold
75 TR6 sold
2 different 69 TR6 bought and sold

One of the 69 TR6 I bought was my only "bad" expierence. The seller took some very specific pictures that hid a cracked windshield, poorly reparied convertible top, and poorly repaired fender. He did though negotiate with me when I was going to walk away to a point of being overly fair.
Don't hesitate to buy or sell on EBAY, just do your due diligence, and don't bid until you get all your awnswers and pictures you desire. Pick up the car whenever it is possible to see yourself what you are buying, and educate yourself on values vs. condition as best as possible.

I would have to say that my TR4 exceeded expectations... probably because the seller had not sorted it out enough to really know how well it could run. It was a situation where I wasn't really looking to buy a car but the bidding was so low & slow that I couldn't let it get away. But... I swear I'll never do that again.

Re: Update on US Triumph dealer

I bought a Triumph Herald on eBay. It was not cheap, but turned out to be a real dog. After a couple of months I scrapped it as it turned out to be so dangerous.
