Update on the TR8
Got most everything sorted out now. The engine rebuild went very well. Thanks again to Forum member Joelb for his help installing the tranny. I've driven it a few times around town, and so far, it's sounding very nice and running strong.
I took a few days off working on it while we prepared for our son's leaving for basic this past Tuesday. The car's at a local shop now, getting fitted out for A/C - new compressor, hoses, etc. Should get it back Monday or Tuesday, then the bonnet goes back on and I can finish buttoning everything up. Still have a couple of electrical gremlins, but plans are still on to go to VTR, and now we'll have A/C on the highway!
