Update -- carpeting, door panels & seats!

Buzzing right along here, time for another snag in the progress soon! I need to post pics of the carbs, etc., and I have a video clip of the 'engine start' but I don't know how to post a video.

Now, do I still order the chrome door pull and winder bits? Or put it on the 'do asap list?'

The black ones are as supplied by Abingdon. Do what appeals! The metal/chrome ones will likely outlast the plastic stuff BTW. I've had nothing but grief with the "Kingston" and other plastic fittings. Mebbe they've improved over the last few years but somehow I doubt it.

I say go for the metal bits. It might not be stock, but it should have been, IMO.

Sweet & Clean. Put what's less likely to break. Less work to do later.

Re: Update -- carpeting, door panels & seats!

Looking very good. This is one of the fastest restorations I've ever witnessed... You sure it didn't come from Tony already painted? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Re: Update -- carpeting, door panels & seats!

You'll have to ask Tony that. Official restoration began Feb. 13th when we flatbedded her to the shop for bodywork, then sandblasting and took the engine to the machine shop.

Theoretically, we could be driving her next weekend. IF the top and tires were here, we could be driving her this weekend. Blows my mind.

Chuck is going to love that ride Janel. You don't need the top, and take the knock offs off Emma for now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif (or are they bolt ons? )

I dont think anyone here has a bunker strong enough if janel walks outside and finds emma on blocks.
