Update: Another Triumph [TR7] back on the road!
Just wanted to report that the long-stored TR7 convertible we acquired several weeks ago -- the one with the balky temp. and fuel gauges -- is now officially insured, licensed and on the road! Oh, ultimately it took a new temp. sender to get that gauge to work, and we're hoping the same will be true with a new fuel tank sender unit!
Meanwhile, brakes are all good, the engine is running very strong, road feel is fine at speed (vibrations nonexistent), exhaust is again quiet (thanks to a $20.00 "cherry bomb" rear muffler) and -- most importantly -- my son is thrilled to be back in a car of his own!
There are still a few little things to work out, and it has to pass NY state safety inspection (don't expect any real problems there), but we're ON THE ROAD!
