Universal Wire Harness question

I just found out that the company I had hoped could make me a new wire harness for the Vauxhall (Autosparks) can't. The old harnesses are too butchered. In a sense I don't mind as I have suspected one of the Hot Rod universal systems might be easier and definitely more economical. So, questions.

1. Anyone have any experience with these? Any input?

2. When I look at the websites, (in addition to the number of fuses) the kits seem to be divided into GM and non-GM kits. I presume this has to do with connectors and "plug and play." I also presume that I am being wildly optimistic that because I have a Vauxhall (UK GM) it will fit a GM harness?

thanks all

Yep, sounds pretty optimistic to me. On a more serious note though, have you tried Rhode Island Wiring? Not cheap but they do excellent work and may have the specs for your car.

Thanks for the lead- they don't even list Vauxhall in their catalogue. I may contact them anyway but I suspect the cost may outstrip the benefit.

Rhode Island has been around for forever, they have furnished us with a BUNCH of harnesses for weird stuff. CALL 'em, JP. They may surprise ya.
