While I was on BCF yesterday (might have been leaving the site), I got a pop up from INSYDE offering to update or otherwise tinker with firmware. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks,
Bob
Sounds like you may have some malware on your computer. (So far) have had no other's report having this "popup" while visiting BCF.
PS: I definitely would not click on it!
I did not click. We did a Norton scan before using anything after the pop up. Norton found nothing amiss. Apparently from other info on the net from Lenovo, Insyde is legitimately a Lenovo provider. Any of the real updates are available on Lenovo. We will go there to get it, if at all.
Thanks,
Bob
I also scan periodically with the free version of Malwarebytes, recommended to me by a co-worker who does unix/windows support. I've caught things with it over the years
