While watching the "Food Network", channel 110 on Dish network, an advertisement for "Giada-getaway" Friday January 12th 8:30pm (Central time) popped up. "Giada" was driving a late model Austin Healey (Healey Blue) BJ8, top down. She was inviting us to join her on her next road trip.
Great to see our cars in the limelight.

Well Keoke, if you can tear yourself away, check out the Speed channel coverage of the Barrett-Jackson auction next week. There are 14 Healeys scheduled to cross the block, and if you see a guy in a Union Jack head-wrap driving Jaguars across the block on Friday, it's Yours Truly.

I was checking out the BJ auction list yesterday, and saw the Kurt Tanner 64 BJ8 in Sage Green. Is that gonna be this years metallic gold "cool" color?

We have a game at our house, pick out the engine flaws in the restorations. Kidding aside, I love the fact that Healey's are back on people's radar. And I have no problem with the increasing value of our cars. But I still can't figure out why anybody would pay $1000 for a crappy old shelly jack.
 
I've been by Kurt's shop a couple of times this year and saw the Sage Green car. The combination of that color and the light interior is a real stunner. Of course, it's not Healey "correct", but my bet is it will grab some real attention. I'll be on the stage when it goes and will be interested in replaying the Speed Channel narration when I get home to see how the "experts" react.

----- keoke, can ya believe our friend reid? he got a couple ah really beautiful cars, gets to drive "cream of the crop" jags across a stage on international t.v., and not unlike our friend shg. has a job in which his greatest potential for danger is risking a paper cut, and to boot is married to miss brazil,sorry keoke who wouldnt be jealous? -- in the words of zero mostel "flaunt it baby,flaunt it"
