Under windshield frame and final prep for paint

Today is finally the day for the color to be applied. I was over this morning and had them pull up the old dash to paint under it as well. Happily, there were no issues hiding under there.

Also, for those who were wondering, this is why you have to pull the windshield frame to install the dash pad.

Paul, I know your Ins. covered it but are we going to find out what this would have cost?

Searcher,

I'm replacing the dash pad(s), the top being the first, prior to the windshield going back on. That's why I just ripped that away from the painted area. You are right, that would be a mess to fix. They cut the excess off before masking for painting.

When I had the frame removed two years ago and a new windshield installed, we put a new seal under the frame that fits to the cowl. Those are no bargain to fit properly either.
