Im losing oil pressher and Im getting very hot. I have mainly water and a little anifrezze in the radioator. the water temp gauge isnt working when I start the car it has 60psi then hops down to 40 and has been loosing a little bit more each drive so it was at 30psi yesterday and today it dipped into the 20s just as I was pulling in to the drive!

Ive been driving around trodhiem fjord wow lot of fun beautifle driving!!

This is not good. Sounds like some major internal engine issues.

oil pump??

Im leaking oil like a sive even though I just did the seals

maybe I need a thicker oil and proper coolent I just noticed that its anitfreez here where in the states its both coolent and anitfreeze together

just hoped out to the store and back no problems plenty of pressher but the engin was cool.....oh maybe the termostate?

this is a new problem on this engine I drove it for 4 years in my midget in miami the water temp gauge not working is not much help.
steve

Is that a 1275? if so maybe you need to clean the oil seperator on the front of the timeing chain cover so you get a bit of negative pressure on the crank case.

Yes it is. some one here can give you some advise but disconnect from the carbs and see if you can blow through it.

oh its over there as long as I dont have to pull the engin again before I drive to holland

tosen takk

Hehe, no pulling engine this time.

this all started when I over heated the engine two weeks ago
good thing it is raining today I have a hour and a half drive back to where I can work on it.

steve

Major over-heating two weeks ago? Have you checked if there is water in the oil, or oil-sludge in the coolant? It might be time to replace the head-gasket!!! Sounds like a blown head-gasket to me!

thats what Im thinking I dove an hour and a half today in the rain the oil presser low as 25 dispite being over full. and I went though a little under a pint of water (not coolent) in the radiator. Im going to flush the radiotor and put coolent in on monday.
steve

I would REALLY consider putting at least a cheap aftermarket water temperature gauge in there! That MAY save you from having to pull the engine really soon.

it looks like the water is coming out by the water pump or the head gasket at the front with blow back on spark plug 2 and 3

steve

By the water pump or the water pump?

if I could figure out how to upload a photo I would.
I think it is right by the engine number plate but the paint is flaking off waterpump but the water pump is not making noise.

steve

Looks like time for a new head gasket if thats the spot.

ok Ill order one in the morning
do you think I can do it my self??

tosen takk (thousand thanks)
steve

Of course, remove the nuts holding the exhaust and intake manifold on. Drain water. Remove water pump and anything else attached to head. Remove head bolts and pick it up.

Reinstall is the reverse. Clean all surfaces well and make sure the gasket is right side up and front side front.

You will have to torque head bolts and readjust valves.
