Under carpet matting

I layed down some matting today. The PO gave me a roll of material. I used half of it. This included 2 foot wells, 2 floor pan seat areas, the complete transmission tunnel, the rear deck area, and the boot floor.
I have 1/2 roll left: it measures approximately 60" x 67".

If someone wants the remaining 1/2 roll, its yours for the cost of shipping. (It might cost more to ship than to buy? I didnt look up the cost).
The box weighs approximately 7 pounds, and measures 15" long x 15" wide x 10.5" height, ( for approximate postage calculation)( Use Pittsburg ).
Please pm me if interested. It might take me a day or two to respond.
A couple of pics to see the stuff...

I was told this is the same material used in Cadillacs.

Cheers

How easy was it to cut and fit? You put it between the Dynamat and carpet?

It cuts with effort with a pair of utility scissors. It didnt cut with a home 'box cutter' razor blade well. No kidding there are some sore fingers at the end of the day after the scissors, but doable.

Yes, I put it between the Dynamat and carpet. A Dynamat/matting/carpet sandwich. If there is a normal way and an over-the-top way.......well, you get it.

We tend to DO that.

Not a thing wrong with overkill.

It's the same stuff I got at our local carpet dealer. Gave me enough to do my entire midget plus some. I put it between Dynamat and carpet. He said it was the medium grade matting used by carpet stores. Seemed heavy enough and not too thick nor thin.

So how much does all that extra weight add to your 0-60 time?

Just enough to allow you to adjust choke.

Figured I save everyone the trouble of clicking through.

Nice work Mike.

..ya know......I like how you remind me to put jute in my car AFTER I just glued the trans tunnel carpet in place......

Oh well, I like gluing to solid stuff anyway. I coulda used some though. You'da thought the carpet guy would have sold me some when I bought the carpet.

That stuff it cheap, I want to say $.15 a foot here last I checked.

What carpet are you using, rollin' your own or a VB or Moss "kit"?
