Ummm.... Is this what I think it is?

Maybe... would need to know the case markings. Certainly could be, doesn't say which Datsun it came out of though. Great price if it is correct.

I'll admit that I keep thinking about picking one up if one ever came up locally -- even though I don't have a Bugeye anymore. Might get another one someday, and it would be handy to have around. But then it's one more unneeded part to have to store...

Off the top of my head that bell housing reminds me of what I've see from the Z cars.
Not the right bell housing for a 210.
That being said, see if there's a "60" on the side of the case.
My bet without seeing is that it says something else, like maybe "63".

Agree with Rick. Thats the transmission that Drew needs for his MGB or I need for Datsun pickups!!

Kurt.

No, not the right one. Looks like a "56A" series rib case. Might even be a 4 speed as the back end looks a little narrow for a 5 speed. Anyway, a bad angle to be able to tell. There should be a number cast on the right side of the case. A couple side views would tell more. 63 series was used up to '78 B210, and I believe has a smooth case.

looks like a Z crossmemeber too but agree, probably a 63 series from a truck. From my experience, in TX, when someone says a part for a brand name,( i.e Chevy, Ford, Datsun), they are talking about a truck. If they were talking about a car, they would state the model. I got this all the time at Chief.

"I need a lower ball joint for a '75 Chevy.."

Ummmm, Chevy what?

"1975 model"...

Ummm, what model of 1975 Chevy do you need a ball joint for?

"Boy, I dun tolt you twice it's a '75..."

Not the year, but the model.... Is it a Caprice, Camaro, Corvette?....

Drove me nuts!

If you start handin' out Vega parts, it'll cure 'em of it real quick. :smirk:
