My wife and I were considering a "mini" vacation (pun intended) by heading out to the Ultimate Mini Challenge Race/Show in California in October...Has anyone ever participated or gone to this event? Just wondering if it is a worth while event!

I haven't been there, but one of our MMPEAPSHA club members, Greg Wold, took his Mini out there last year and did pretty well.....3rd overall (1st 10" wheel Mini).

He videotaped the whole race from inside the car and we've seen it several times at our meetings.

Looks like a nice Mini course.

Are you planning on driving out there in a Mini?

Not driving out.....too far from Pennsyl-tucky! We thought it might be worthwhile...race, vendors, swap-meet etc.. Pick up a few parts ideas.

Wish we could trailer it out...but not enough vacation.

I appreciate your response!

I've heard that it's a nice spectator's course....but not much shade, so be prepared.

MiniMania usually has a big display there (and probably other vendors, too), so bring your credit card.

Hope you have a fine time....and be sure to tell us about it when you get back.

Thanks XRACER..... If we DO go out there I'll certainly keep the "troops" posted!
