Twin Cam

I'm a Triumph guy right now, but long ago in Baton Rouge when it was not much more than a college town there were a couple of these Twin Cam MGA's. One belonged to a friend and the other, a black coupe, belonged to a mechanic or at least a guy who worked at a shop.
At that point in my life I wasn't too interested in learning about those engines, but now I'd really like to know more.
Would someone tell me about them? Thanks.
