TVR Value

While looking at a 100/6, I found a 70's vintage TVR 2500 squirreled away in building. It belonged to the building owner, the Healey did not. The TVR was in rough shape. The bonnet was off. Owner said he has it but it has some damage. Paint bad and interior pretty rough. Engine looked okay and every thing appeared to be there.Turbine type wheels. It ran (of course) when parked inside. Any Idea to a ball park value of the car? Owner said he would sell, he wanted me to make an offer. I thought $2500 but didn't want to commit until I got a little more info.

If the bonnet is useable, and the glass is good, that's probably in the ballpark. However, make sure to at least look under the car at the chassis. They do rust and the only really proper way to repair them is to remove the body. I walked away from a decent TVR for about that same money because the chassis needed rust repair and I was not looking for a body off restoration project.
