It's just a little editorial by Richard Chang. It's not very optomistic, but I thought I'd post it for anyone that might be interested.

The latest word from Blackpool is that there is supposed to be an announcement on Feb. 23 as to who the owner of TVR(aka: Blackpool Automotive) will be. Let's see if anything somes from this latest news.

As we all know from such notices of impending announcements over the past 6+ months, anything is possible. In fact, the greatest possibility is that no announcement will be forthcoming at all, based on past experience. But it would be nice to be proven wrong, in a positive way.

I guess the high cost of doing business in the UK has caused another marque to fail. It may resurrect but in all probability it will never succeed unless some deep pockets ante up. Lotus and Morgan Survive because of relative management stability and (mostly) sound decision making. TVR it seems has neither.

But they sure do make some neat cars. I hope they recover, and enough that someday maybe they'll sell in the US again.
We can hope.
