Hi,
I'm replacing all the bushings and mounts on my 2500M as many of the front suspension were bad including both main and tie rod ball joints.
Front was easy and I have one side, passenger, disassembled and replaced three wishbone and trunion bushings with Poly.
I also replaced the engine mount, which gave me a little hard time fitting it back, but it's done.
Q: I'll be done with the front by this weekend and will work on the rear. I have both the front and rear mounts for the Diff. Had anyone replaced them with the body still on the chassis?
Do I need to separate the U- joint shaft in order to release any pressure/force holding the Diff and not allowing me to raise or lower it?
Any tips or help is appropriated.
Next, I might remove the transmission cover and insulated it. Interior is in great condition and hopefully trying to remove the cover won't require me to rip any carpets or misc parts. I've seen videos for Triumph cars but TVR might be different
Thanks,
Anatole
