TV Show the Grimley's

I watched the pilot for the old TV show The Grimley's, set in the UK in 1974.

I laughed when the PE teacher woke up in the middle of the night with the engine from his beloved spitfire in bet with him. Just like in The Godfather.

I could swear that the music teacher was one of the musicians in the GlamRock band Slade.

You say "Grimly" and I thing Martin Short. "I must say"
That sounds funny. Do you have it on DVD or tape, or was it on TV?

I downloaded it from UKnova.tv. A web site with some TV shows from the UK. So it must have been on the TV in the UK recently.

"The show also starred former Slade singer Noddy Holder, who played music teacher Neville Holder (Noddy's birth name), and a number of inspired cameos including 1970s glam rock singer Alvin Stardust as a pub landlord."

You were right! I have to see if I can find that, set in my old neck of the woods.
