I replaced my turn signal bulbs with LEDs. They are much brighter but the flasher kept working intermitantly. I finally decided to order a flasher unit made for LEDs. It was the most inconsistant eletrical problem I have ever worked on. The lights acted like the ground was not working.

I will let you know how they work once the new flasher is installed.

Hello Jerry,

If the one you ordered doesn't work, try this electronic flasher from Napa. It stops led bleed over.

Drive it like you stole it.

Yeah, you pretty much need a blinker relay designed for LEDs. LEDs just don't load the system enough. When I did my motorcycle, I tried the turn signals just for fun. Left turn was fine, right flashed at hyper speed.
 
Is there a ready made LED option for the tail lights of the 100/4 BN1s? If so, could someone post a link or contact info.

I got the LED flasher installed. Works great but does not click or make any noise when it blinks.
I wonder if I will remember to turn it off?

I found a little buzzer that Lin Rosewood put on his car. Radioshack 273-059. Might buy one of those. I also noticed that both turn signal dash lights flash when you turn on the turn signal either way.

Apparently the combination of the LED lights and a regular flasher causes some kind of ground feedback that was affecting my gas gauge. Now that I have installed the LED flasher, the gauge works correctly again.

Mess with original, and you get more work!

If you install one of those electronic flashers like in Roger's
above post, then they both won't flash at the same time. I also had the same problem and fixed it with the same type of flasher that Roger has.
