turn signal lamp gasket

Can anyone tell me what the order of installation of the front turn signal lamp gasket is on a 65 sprite?
A) Between the lens and the lamp assembly?
Or,
B) behind the lamp assembly between the lamp assembly and the body?

Seems like A but it also seems like there should be something between the lamp assembly and the body.

thx in advance

And the prize:

Looks nice and shiny

If I were building it it would have one on each. One to seal the electrics and the other to protect the paint.

I just fitted those and as I remember there is a groove in the rubber gasket that the metal bulb holder fits into. When you have it it will look like A and bulb holder will be held in the rubber gasket. Unfortunatly( if your experience is similiar to mine) they don't fit as well as orignal's and moisture can get in to the bulb area. I'm going to disassemble mine and try to do a better job of sealing with some clear silicone.

Kurt is right, gasket has a groove for the metal base to slip into, just changed mine this spring & as described the fitment is rather poor...

Thanks guys.

After another look last night I discovered the same.
Sometimes you just need to walk away and come back. Or, turn your head sideways and hold your mouth right.

Here is a pic (fuzzy) of the groove in the gasket:

Here is a pic of the gasket pulled back over the end:

And one of the gasket installed (properly) had it upside down first:

The lens fits over the thick edge on the gasket.
It got late so I didn't get one of them on the car yet.

Thanks again guys.
