Turn Signal Flasher Problem

Was having a problem with slow to no turn signal flasher. Cleaned grounds, checked wiring. The turn signal switch was worn and wouldn't return from the left. Changed it and still slow to no flasher. Found this for the flasher unit. A little overkill wasn't it.
