MGB-GT Turn signal flasher location 1974 GT

It may seem silly to post this, but since it took me a while to find it...

lower ( or remove ) the panel below the dash on the passenger's side. On my GT this panel is directly below the glove box and has a speaker mounted on it.

Look at the firewall ( bulkhead ) where you removed the panel. The flasher should be there.

Like I said, some may find it silly, but only one of the workshop manuals I got with the car specified the location and it was incorrect ( under the hood ). Doc Entropy gave me suggestions and a foolproof way to find it, but I balked at the bit that involved sacrificing a small amphibian /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Anyway, hope this helps someone at some time in the future.

BTW, the replacement flasher I got is cylindrical. The original is a cube shape ( by Lucas ) , so the replacement won't fit in the mounting clip on the firewall - wire tie time!
