TR4/4A Turn signal bulbs

DSCF5852.jpgI noticed that the turn signals were not working today in my 1964 Tr4...I have an owners hand book and a Clymer's shop book but neither shows how to remove a bulb...I looked and noticed that you can get to the front ones from under " the bonnet "...but how do you do this?...I did not want to pull on anything until I was certain...I am not certain that it is a bulb or not as when you turn the key on and indicate left or right the green bulb in the dash lights up but neither the front or the rear bulbs light up...Marla...ok, after calming down and having a quiet cup of coffee I did read again the owners hand book and it clearly shows how to use a small screw driver to turn back the rubber to gain access to the bulb...hopefully it is a burned bulb and not something major.

Yes, you gently peel back a bit of that rubber lip and then work all the way around to free the metal ring. You can then pry up the rubber lip that holds the glass lens and work it loose. Instead of a screwdriver I use a wooden or plastic tool - like an 'orange stick' if you recall those.
