Turbonique turbine Rocket Drag Axle

I think I'd want to relocated the fuel tank if I were to hook one of them to a BE!!

Turbonique...*there's* a name from the past! (I actually posted something about these guys here a few years ago).

They were famous for selling turbine engine kits (using helicopter engines) to fit into your street VW.

For about $3000, you got 1000 HP and about 1 mpg.

Their famous "Black Widow" VW was essentially a stock VW with one of their kits. It beat "TV" Tommy Ivo's 4-engine dragster in the 1/8 mile.

I bet it'd melt the bumper of the guy behind you at the light. :smirk:

Great googly moogly! that's awsome! I wanna see one in action!

I think I need one of those in the back of my Mini wagon. Install a doggy door type flap so when it kicks in......!!

YEAH RIGHT!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! that's great! so you get rocket thrust, and it drives the wheels too?! that's awsome! I love the second kart launch. Wheelie, then it all comes apart. hehehehe.

Looked like the one that did a wheelie the engine exploded or something.

Looks like the jet was hanging out back quite a bit. The wheelie probably bottomed it out, maybe broke it in half. Yikes!
